Good morning. It’s Friday, December 3, 2010, and this is your first early morning Kids briefing.

The Foundation, a unit of Zodiak Media Group, enters into a deal with Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC, Middle East) for a new kid’s game show.  The Foundation is set to head into production on The Buzzer (working title, 115×30) in January 2011 at the Twofour54 studios in Abu Dhabi, with JCC slated to debut the series in September.  The Buzzer will pit two teams (of three players each) head-to-head in multiple rounds of mental and physical challenges as they make their way to the ‘Ultimate Buzzer’ at the top of the ‘Tower’.  Hosted by Saeed Sarhan (co-hose of kid’s game show Addarb (The Trail)), the series will be filmed in Arabic.  The Buzzer is produced by Steve Pinhay and directed by Tony Grech for The Foundation.  The series is executive produced by Nigel Pickard, who was recently named to head Zodiak Middle East/Asia/Australasia in addition to his position as Group Director/Kids and Family Entertainment, UK, Zodiak Media Group, and Ged Allen for the Foundation and Malika Alouane for JCC.  Zodiak Rights and JCC jointly own the format rights to The Buzzer.
