Turner Sports is lining up NBA on TNT Road Show with a twist, beginning with opening night in Cleveland on Oct. 25 at 3p. The experience will offer “fan friendly attractions aligned with select tent pole events throughout the NBA season, will include live telecasts featuring TNT’s Sports Emmy Award winning Inside the NBA studio team, musical performances, interactive fan experiences, pop-up stores, food trucks and more.” The Opening Night activation will take place in a 75,000 square foot interactive space located outside the venue and include a musical performance by Wiz Khalifa. American Express sponsors with activities themed around TNT personalities as well as an on-court hoops experience, a Singer Slam Studio and Inside the NBA themed food.
FOX Sports drew a season high on the NFL front as its Week 6 America’s Game of the Week pitting the Cowboys and Packers ranked as the season’s highest-rated and most-watched game so far. The matchup handed the network with 28 million viewers on average with a 15.8/30 household rating/share, according to Nielsen national numbers. Through three telecasts, AGOTW is averaging a 14.7/29 with 26.0 million viewers, off-pace from last year’s 15.2/30 (26.5 million viewers, but ranking as the highest-rated and most-watched program in all of television this year. Meanwhile,
ESPN unveiled its commentator teams for the Wednesday and Friday editions of NBA Countdown this season. Series host Michelle Beadle will be joined by analysts Jalen Rose, Chauncey Billups and Tracy McGrady on Wednesdays, and Rose and Billups on Fridays. The series will expand to mostly one-hour shows on Wednesdays and Fridays this season, starting at 7p ahead of network doubleheaders. The foursome will make their official debut as a team on tonight at 7:30p.
Pac-12 Networks got an upgrade, announcing that its programming will now be available nationwide through DISH as well as Sling TV. The conference platform will now be available on the company’s Top 120+ package in all markets, adding millions of new homes to its reach.
Speaking of distribution, ONE World Sports locked in a deal that will make it available on South Carolina-based Comporium’s Digital Variety Tier. “ONE World Sports continues to bring live sports from around the globe to new markets, especially with a renewed focus of programming from the United States and that resonates with our viewers,” said Randy Brown, Executive Vice President of Distribution, ONE World Sports.

Nelly has a date with FS1’s Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, and will appear for the first time on the show on Nov. 1 at 9:30a. “I can’t wait to reunite with my man Nelly,” says Bayless. “Seven years ago he was the first rapper we ever had on my former debate show, and he was a revelation. Mike Krzyzewski returns to SiriusXM on Thursday for the season premiere of Basketball and Beyond with Coach K at 6p on SiriusXM College Sports Nation. Coach K’s guest on the season opening episode will be San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, who will succeed Krzyzewski as head coach of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team for the 2017-20 quadrennium.

PGA Tour Champions and Japan Airlines are partnering for a new event to be played in suburban Tokyo, beginning in 2017. The Japan Airlines Championship will become the first ever PGA Tour-sanctioned event to be held in the country and will be played at Narita Golf Club the week of September 4-10, 2017.
Pizza Hut is embracing its new collegiate sports partnership with a the launch of the Pizza Hut All-American, a promotion designed to “take one sports fan on an epic adventure to celebrate Division I NCAA championships during the 2016-17 season” offering $50,000 to one sports fan to travel to as many Division I NCAA championships as possible and share their journey with millions of sports fans everywhere. The Pizza Hut All-American program is part of the pizza restaurant’s broader partnership with the NCAA, Turner Sports and CBS Sports.
Cricket Wireless is teaming with El Rey Network to present Lucha En Vivo, a slate of three Lucha Underground live events that will take place in three cities this fall – Phoenix, Houston and San Diego. The events begin on Oct. 23 with two meet & greets with a Luchador in each city at a local Cricket branded retail store.
The Madison Square Garden Company announced a new deal with Anheuser-Busch in a multi-year marketing extension that keeps the brand’s role as one of Madison Square Garden’s signature sponsors. The agreement provides Anheuser-Busch with premier experiences and activations that include a new joint concert series: “One Night Only.” Anheuser-Busch will bring its popular Budweiser Country Club, an interactive branded footprint tailored to country music fans. In addition, the Madison Square Garden Company and Northwell Health announced today a renewed and expanded multi-year marketing partnership that makes Lenox Hill Hospital the Official Hospital Partner of the New York Rangers and an Official Partner of Madison Square Garden.
Meanwhile, Prudential Center and the New Jersey Devils announced a new partnership with East Coast Power & Gas to become an official sponsor and energy supplier of the hockey club and arena. ECP&G will showcase various assets throughout Prudential Center, including ice level dasher boards, concourse and in-bowl LED signage, and exterior marquee LED signage. The agreement also includes radio advertising during Devils games, social media and web content, and hospitality access.
AEG Facilities announced plans to expand its relationship with cloud inspection software company Archaio via a new multi-year partnership. The deal will look to boost efficiencies in asset inspection and facilities management across a number of AEG-owned and/or operated facilities nationwide leveraging real-time inspection information that is available across mobile devices and gives users maximum visibility into the entire inspection and/or quality assurance protocol.
XTreme Video unveiled a new non-scripted series Inside the Masters of Dirt for INsight TV. The series will see six half-hour eps that follow the M.O.D. crew as they travel the world on their arena tour, “XTreme Video sees huge opportunity in connecting digital native creators, with substantial social media following and influence, with brands, broadcasters, and platforms globally,” says Gregg Bywalski, CEO of XTreme Video. “Here at XTreme Video we consider every screen to be hugely important in sharing our creators’ characters and stories, from mobile to Ultra HD.”
