Amazon is in talks with Sony Pictures TV to bring Bryan Cranston’s Sneaky Pete to Amazon Prime subscribers. The new deal comes after a failed pilot launch from its original home on CBS. Sneaky Pete follows a con man who takes his former cell mate’s identity when he gets out of prison. Giovanni Ribisi (Ted) stars along with Marin Ireland, Margo Martindale, Libe Barer, Peter Gerety and Shane McRae. Sneaky Pete was co-written with David Shore.

SendtoNews Video Inc. rolled out new digital center SPORTStation. "We look at SPORTStation as a decentralized YouTube-style video center for digital sports content," said Greg Bobolo, CEO of SendtoNews. "It provides viewers with access to a wide array of national, regional and hyper-localized sports content while automatically handling the tangled web of distribution rights on behalf of our news publishing partners."
 
Animator Fred Seibert’s Channel Frederator Network added 77 new channels in May and increased viewership numbers by an average of 12.69 percent month over month. Since launching in January 2014, CFN members expanded organic viewership by a cumulative average of 69.37 percent. In total, the MCN features 1,749 channels including flagship channel Cartoon Hangover, as well Simon’s Cat and TomoNews. Total subscribership for the network now exceeds more than 24 million, with total views to date sitting at 1.9 billion for the full network.
 
All Creatures Big and Small, a new family-friendly film, will debut exclusively on Google Play on July 1. The movie features the voices of Martin Sheen and Amy Grant and is available to pre-order for free in HD.
 
Comcast’s thePlatform unveiled a cloud-based Unified Ingest Service to manage video and related metadata files that operators want to publish to subscribers’ set-top boxes and web connected devices. “Right now, the act of collecting video and metadata is a real mess,” said Marty Roberts, co-CEO of the Platform. “We already provide this kind of functionality to support more than 20 million pay TV subscribers across set-top-boxes and other devices. So we decided to make it available to the broader cable, telco, and satellite TV provider community.”
