EXECUTIVE MOVES

Robert Mills was upped to Senior Vice President of Alternative Series, Specials & Late-Night Programming for ABC Entertainment. Mills, formerly Vice President, had stepped into an expanded role on an interim basis since the exit of Executive Vice President Lisa Berger in November.

Sinking Ship Entertainment appointed Christin Simms as Head of Development. Simms continues in her role as Executive Producer for the company.

FremantleMedia International hired Georgia Brown as Senior Vice President Scripted. Brown had been Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Shine International.

Alison Hoffman was promoted to Executive Vice President of Marketing at Starz. Hoffman, most recently Senior Vice President of Originals Marketing, will spearhead all consumer and affiliate marketing for the net.

David Smyth has been promoted from Vice President Sales to Senior Vice President Sales and Development for Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. Smyth is based in the company’s London office.

Scripps Networks Interactive promoted Joseph G. NeCastro to Chief Development Officer. Lori A. Hickok, presently Executive Vice President of Finance, will succeed NeCastro as Chief Financial Officer.

CBS Network Sales promotions include Matthew Sautner, upped to Senior Vice President of Primetime Sales; Joseph Mina to Vice President, Primetime Sales; Robert Malmgren to Senior Vice President, CBS Sports Sales; Jared Zerman to Senior Vice President, Daytime Sales and David Sherman to Vice President of News and Late Night Sales.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles named Chantal Rickards its first Chief Executive Officer, effective April 14. Rickards, who has served as a commissioning executive at the BBC and was recently head of programming and branded content at MEC, will relocate from London to LA.

Leftfield Entertainment promoted three execs: Danielle Gervais is now Head of Casting; Tonko Soljan has been upped to Vice President, Business Affairs, and Danielle DiStefano has been promoted to Vice President, Post Production. All three executives will work across all Leftfield Entertainment production companies.
